I'm a designer and front-end developer working for the awesome Carrboro, NC company, New Media Campaigns. At NMC, I work to create custom websites and mobile apps for political campaigns, universities, non-profits, and businesses of all sizes. Prior to NMC, I worked for Swarm Interactive, the Raleigh News & Observer, FireStream Media and Time Out Sydney.
I am a 2011 UNC Chapel Hill grad with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Outside of my full-time job, I also work as a freelance designer and developer for small businesses, bands and non-profits.
When I'm not in front of my computer I'm usually exploring Durham by bike, cheering on the Tar Heels, or playing with my Italian Greyhound, Bella. I also have a thing for running, hot yoga, and a cold hard cider.
What I'm Good At
Web Development
I pride myself in developing fast, browser-optimized websites that are identical to their original design. I create custom sites with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, with some of my favorite tools being jQuery and LESS. I've also got experience in building custom websites on HiFi, WordPress, and Joomla.
Branding
Your brand is what sets you apart from the rest of the world. From logo design to branding guidelines, I've got experience to help set your business or organization apart and create your identity.
Print Design
While I spend most of my time designing for the web, I do have experience in print design! I have created business cards, flyers, stickers, brochures and other promotional material for bands, start-ups, non-profits and small businesses.
